Brady Skjei made his official return to Lenovo Center last night (no, preseason games aren’t real) in Nashville’s 3-1 victory over the Hurricanes, picking up the secondary assist on Michael Bunting’s first period power play goal. Bunting made his official return to Lenovo Center back in November, as a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins, and didn’t get the emotional thank you video (and standing ovation) that Skjei did back then, while Kieffer Bellows, who got the primary assist on that goal because apparently Nashville is at a point this season where Kieffer Bellows is not only playing NHL minutes but is seen as one of the Preds top 8 offensive threats, received absolutely nothing in his return to Lenovo Center because – as was mentioned before – preseason games aren’t real and no one (except someone maybe at the Canes equipment sale this past summer) remembers that Kieffer Bellows was a training camp invitee last offseason. I swear it happened.
