If I was to tell you this past offseason, as a time traveler from the not to distant future that Jesperi Kotkaniemi would have as many points as Jack Roslovic 14 games into the Hurricanes season, you might be a little bit disappointed, and then when I told you that those guys were 14 points behind Martin Necas you’d probably be really bummed, and then when I told you that Kotkaniemi and Roslovic had only one more point than Eric Robinson, either you’d eventually catch on that this was leading somewhere, or you’d be lighting torches to burn a straw-filled Eric Tulsky in effigy.
