The Canes aren't signing Sam Gagner and they're dead to me.
The light at the end of the tunnel is getting closer as the Hurricanes approach Opening Night on Friday with what’s almost their final roster as of the time of this writing. I use the term “almost” because while the team needed to get to a maximum of 23 players and under the $88 million salary cap by Monday at 5PM, what the roster looked like after 5 and what the roster is going to look like at a little after 7 on Friday more than likely won’t be the same. We’ll get to that in a minute, but let’s talk about what we know first.
