Guys, I'm beginning to think that Jackson Blake is sticking around.

Well, that was a hell of a thing to hear in a Wawa parking lot in Trenton, New Jersey.
The Carolina Hurricanes announced at a quarter to eleven last night that the team had signed forward Jackson Blake to an eight-year contract extension worth $45 million. Blake, who a year and a half ago was eating ramen in a dorm room at Notre Dame, will be making $5.6 million* a year starting with the 2026-27 season through 2034, a year that does not seem possible right now. As Frank Seravalli pointed out on Twitter, in signing that contract, Jackson eclipses his father's career NHL earnings - Jason Blake, Jackson's dad, played in the NHL from 1999 to 2012. Kind of a dick move there, Frank.
