Workrate Hockey - September 16, 2025

Well, I guess we asked for hockey. The Prospects Showcase took place this past weekend in Tampa, with the Baby Canes going 0-2-1 in three games. I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much out of this group. With barely more than half of the skaters actually drafted by the organization, you're playing with a roster that's got a good chunk of it that will be playing in Greensboro or juniors after this; it's not even like you're fielding an AHL squad. Add onto that two goaltenders that played 30 games total last season, and you kind of have a recipe for disaster. But, no one's playing for a trophy out in these showcases, so let's talk about some guys,
