There’s a scene in Clerks: The Animated Series - one of the finest examples of an entertaining television show completely sabotaged by its network that we’d see until two years later when Fox took the show Firefly and actively tried to punish anyone who tried to watch it. Like, seriously - you skip the pilot episode, which explains the backstory to every character and builds the setting of the entire show, instead choosing to play the second episode, which is just a random story, and you have no idea who the characters are and what the hell this show is - it’s cowboys but it’s in space and there’s a train and they’re robbing it but then after that episode and the next one then you skip two more episodes and don’t end up showing the pilot until the show was already being cancelled. I mean come on.
