We're talking goalie depth? Man, it must be late July.
I had to go back to the archives to see what I was actually writing about this time last year, and last year we actually had a Jackson Blake extension to talk about, along with some rambling about minor league signings and what a two-way contract actually means.
This season, we don't even have those things. The Canes have literally seven six transactions listed this month:
- July 4 - signed goaltender Zach Sawchenko to a 1-year, $850k two way contract
- July 5 - defenseman Ronan Seeley files for salary arbitration
- July 9 - re-signed defenseman Aleksi Heimosalmi to a 1-year, $850k two way contract extension
