The Canes open with a classic, and by that I mean a 2014 special.
To paraphrase Cory Lavalette quoting Bill Simmons back when he was just a funny ESPN Page2 writer and not an obnoxious media mogul, when your team wins a championship there's a five year grace period where you can't bitch about anything that happens with your team. Callups, draft picks, line combinations, even trades - just shhhhsh. Remember where you were, and how there are fans of 31 other franchises that are bitterly looking at you crookedly raising a banner mostly to the rafters but not quite and thinking to themselves "man, if we haven't finished with the third worst record in the entire Eastern Conference and been 15 points out of a playoff spot, surely it would be our team raising this banner."
OK, maybe that's just one fanbase, but my point still stands.
