Happy Banner Raising Day!
The line used to be "Is it October yet?" (except for the 2014-15 season when the Canes started off 0-8 and fans asked either "Is it November yet" or "Is it over yet?", depending on your flavor), but the Canes start the 2026-27 season in September of all places, 6PM, on national TV (or as national as ESPN is considered nowadays), mainly as a result of the NHL's new 84 game season (and reduced preseason). So normally you'd be seeing two more meaningless games for your favorite player to get injured in, but we're jumping right in now.
And, for those of us that do remember that 2014-15 season, everything before this puck drop is going to be surreal.
But before we go into that, let's go over the offseason.
