Since the Canes aren't giving me much to write about lately (and that's OK), let's talk about what's easily the 1A topic in the NHL right now - offer sheets. There's actually been two offer sheets signed so far this offseason - Utah forward Barrett Hayton signed a one year, $4.775 million offer with New Jersey on July 1st, but that's not the one with the buzz. It's Leo Carlsson's 5 year, $90 million contract signed with Philadelphia that's got heads spinning about all the potential dominos that might fall as a result.
